Refund & Return Policy

September 25, 2026

Thank you for supporting a small, independent custom keyboard shop. Because many of the items offered here are custom, bespoke, or lightly used, this policy outlines clear terms for what is eligible for return or refund.

1. Quick Summary of Terms

  • Off-the-Shelf & Used Keyboards: Returnable within 30 days of delivery. Customer covers return shipping; initial shipping fees are non-refundable.
  • Custom Commissions & Bespoke Work: Strictly Final Sale (including fully assembled custom builds, bespoke PCB designs, custom firmware, and custom PCBs).*
  • Soldered Kits & Assembly: Conditional 30-day returns. Subject to a soldering/de-soldering service fee deducted from the final refund total.

2. Standard Items (Off-the-Shelf & Used Gear)

You have 30 calendar days from the date your package arrives to initiate a return on standard, non-custom items.

  • Condition: Items do not need to be in original packaging, but must be returned in the exact physical condition received.
  • Return Shipping: Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs. Using a trackable service is strongly recommended, as lost packages cannot be refunded.
  • Refunds: Upon receipt and inspection, a refund for the item cost (minus original shipping) will be issued through PayPal.

3. Custom Commissions, Bespoke PCBs & Firmware

All custom work, including custom PCB layouts, bespoke hardware design, custom assembled keyboards, and custom firmware code, is Final Sale once work begins or the item ships.

  • Pre-Shipment Verification: To ensure your custom build works before leaving the shop, a functionality video showing key presses, LEDs, and hardware tests is recorded immediately prior to packing and shipment.
  • Builder Errors: If an issue arises due to a clear assembly mistake on my end that was missed prior to shipping, please reach out within 7 days of delivery with photos or video so I can fix it for you.

4. Shipping Damage & Hardware Failures

Transit Damage

All packages are tested and confirmed fully working right before shipment. If your parcel arrives damaged by the postal carrier, please take photos of the package and item immediately and contact me. While carrier transit damage is outside my direct control, I will do my best to assist you in filing an insurance claim with the shipping company.

Hardware Failures & Technical Support

Component issues that occur after delivery or result from user modifications, improper firmware flashing, forced switch insertions, electrical damage, or any other user created hardware failure, are not guaranteed for return or replacement.

That said, if you run into technical issues, I am always happy to help troubleshoot. In many cases, repair services can be arranged where the customer covers return shipping both ways and any replacement component costs. Or I can walk you through how to fix it yourself.

5. Soldered Hardware Policy

If a board or PCB was ordered as a kit and subsequently soldered (either by me or by you), any approved return will incur a de-soldering / restocking service fee to cover the manual labor required to inspect and restore the hardware to a resalable state.

How to Request Help or Returns

For all questions, repairs, or return requests, please reach out via the store contact form or email with your Order Number (listed on the PayPal invoice) and a clear description (plus photos or videos) of the issue.
